Can Mate handle complex orders with options?
+Yes. Mate handles modifiers (small/medium/large, dressings, sides), allergens, and special requests. If something's ambiguous she asks for clarification.
No — we sit alongside it. Diners pay through Stripe Connect direct to you, and we expose orders + payments via API for any POS that wants to ingest them.
Restaurants almost never refund — when you do (rare quality issue), use the Stripe Express dashboard (one-click). We don't build a refund UI you'd use twice a year.
What about UberEats / DoorDash?
+Out of scope for now — those are well-served. We focus on direct phone + QR + web orders where you keep 100% of the revenue.
Can I import my existing menu from a photo?
+Yes. Take a photo of any printed menu (or a screenshot of your DoorDash listing). Our vision AI extracts categories, items, prices, even allergens, and you confirm before publishing.
Do you handle reservations?
+Yes. Multi-segment business hours (lunch + dinner with a closed mid-afternoon), table-turnover-aware slot generation, holiday closures. Mate books over the phone or diners book themselves.
What about the walk-in queue at peak times?
+Walk-ins join the queue (admin add or self-join via QR), get a live position page, and an SMS when their table's ready. Color-coded wait times so the host knows who's waited too long.
Can customers pay online?
+Yes. Three modes per restaurant: pay-at-store, online optional, or online required (order held until paid). Stripe Connect funds settle direct to you.
Multiple restaurants under one account?
